Watching a movie last night, I was reminded how villains are often portrayed as psychopathic individuals one should instantly recognise. In real life, however, this is rarely the case. Take this affable man (pictured). Imagine him saying, as he did: "I am kind to everyone." It is of course Al Capone. In the Church, he would be the man who greets everyone with a kindly face, and scatters his kindnesses abroad. In fact if he didn't do that, his possibilities for evil would be so much less. OBSERVATION: The opposite may be true. Some of the roughest diamonds are ... diamonds. On first impressions, they may seem to be the opposite of the devout and generous people they truly are.
