Elephant Bird Egg

In the first part of his doctoral work, son M did research in Europe on (extinct) elephants. This meant that he had access to many fossils. Here he is holding the egg of an Elephant Bird. He claims that the bird's extinction coincided with the invention of the omelette. Kind acknowledgement to Basel Museum. OBSERVATION: M's doctoral dissertation is now with the examiners, where it has been for a long time.
