Blanking Out Instability

As one pushes the sensitivity of an electronic circuit, its stability becomes more and more important. Recently I designed a magnetometer -- now I am seeking to make it switch real power. One might compare it to balancing a pencil on its end (the sensing circuit) on the back of a truck (the power section), then starting up the truck. There are two basic ways one can approach this problem: increase the stability of a circuit, or blank out the instability. Tonight I tested the latter. OBSERVATION: One might compare this to letting the pencil fall when the truck is started up, then balancing it on its end again as soon as the engine is turned off. My experiments were largely successful -- however, the blanking itself needs to be switched in and out. At the moment, that is a little short of perfection.
