A more distant relative (pictured) is a trauma surgeon in Germany. He is also something of a celebrity as a photographer, and by African standards brings in a modest salary through photographs alone. When he saw how many people download my own photos, he wrote: "I can't believe it!" The difference is, though, that my photos are in a different system. His sell modestly for good money, while tens of thousands of people have downloaded mine, but only two have paid!
OBSERVATION: He still bears our family's Huguenot name, which is reflected in my own
middle name "Oliver". I took the photo last week.
