Me And The President

I discovered today, to my surprise, that the President of the Republic of Kiribati, Taneti Maamau, had to have been one of my playmates as a boy. Born in the same year, we lived on the same island, which is just six square miles in extent. He became a deacon in the same Church in which my parents ministered. The island is Onotoa, in the Pacific. If he weren't too busy, I'd ask him if he remembers. OBSERVATION: If I remember rightly, his father once rebuked me for transgressing an island custom. I felt very bad about that.
