Confessions

As a minister, I am asked from time to time: "Has anyone confessed to murder?" The answer is, unfortunately, yes. However, this did not seem difficult to deal with. There have been more awkward confessions. And far more often than that, people have spoken of crime in counselling sessions -- not their own crime -- simply as a part of the story. Sometimes such crime has been serious. On just a few occasions, I have turned to authorities -- for example, with drug dealing and ... call it churchbreaking. OBSERVATION: Ministers setting out in ministry need to think on such things. What will they do?
