It's very common in Churches in South Africa: uniforms. I took this photo at a funeral earlier this year. Church members identify with their Churches and Church groups through their uniforms -- and the uniforms bear witness that they have been set apart, bear certain responsibilities, and have a certain status. Typically the smallest items of a uniform are reminders of spiritual truths. OBSERVATION: This was on a very hot day. Notice that the women walk hand in hand, which is common in South Africa. My own guess about uniforms: there is a lot of poverty, and uniforms may play an equalising role.
