Solar Annoyance

In 2013, I designed a small solar lighting system for my bathroom -- and published it. I was annoyed when a fellow designer ridiculed it. However, it was designed to be doable in Africa. It was not meant to be state of the art. As they say, the proof of the pudding is in the eating. Today, after six years, the light is still working in my bathroom, and I don't see any signs of failure. This is a long life for a such a system. The design is here: African Solar. It is designed to work just by twisting bits together.
