It looks as though I have edited two hits in a row. The latest is
Joad's Concept of Personality. Like the previous article I edited, this one "charted" within a day. It is about the very popular Joad, an atheist philosopher who did an extraordinary U-turn, first becoming a theist and then a Christian. He said forget the details -- a single, materialist, physical order of reality is simply ‘palpably inadequate’. Meaningless. That was courageous as a philosopher, but left many questions.
OBSERVATION: It seems that Francis Schaeffer, 15 years after Joad's death, co-opted his core ideas. Then consider that Ronald Reagan attributed his election victory to Schaeffer ... We may have underestimated Joad.
