Child Protection

I visited a Church recently where I saw a man who is on the Child Protection Register seated near the children. I knew he was on the register because a minister once informed me. The Child Protection Register is not, however, public in South Africa, and a congregation may not know. This is not to say that people on the Child Protection Register should not be given the opportunity of a new beginning, but I had mixed feelings about what I saw. OBSERVATION: It seems a pity that Churches now take extreme measures to protect children. No doubt it must be so.
