Contradictory South Africa

South Africa is a contradictory country. A Church I often attend is closed, by government order -- which applies to all Churches. Last week the police fired rubber bullets and teargas at a congregation in Sebokeng to underline it. Yet various Churches simply carry on -- including Churches I have attended in the past (such as this one, above, which is in the same suburb as the first mentioned Church). I wonder whether they ever heard the news of lockdown. OBSERVATION: It is much the same with building regulations, food products, environmental laws ... One or two suburbs distant, things may be completely different.

POSTSCRIPT: As I post this, the The South African National Christian Forum is seeking to have restrictions overturned in court. Restaurants, casinos, gyms, and cinemas (among others) may continue to operate.
