In a recent post, I briefly described the end of my co-editorship of the (currently) no. 8 philosophy page in the UK, Pi. In discussion with my co-editor Dr. Martin Cohen, it had appeared to me that my level of learning was higher than his -- yet it should have been lower -- going on our credentials. I was fired (in my estimation) in a panic -- and irregularly -- when that emerged. I therefore requested a few key confirmations from universities. But confirmations were not to be found. All reported problems -- and one would not reply. Yesterday Exeter University filled in some additional detail. My ex colleague's claim to a PhD Philosophy is false (I had said that it was misleading). He has a PhD Education, not a PhD Philosophy. OBSERVATION: The two are typically very far apart. The general term "Doctor of Philosophy" (PhD) is not to be confused with the specific term "PhD Philosophy".
