I know what a disaster it may be if a round-the-clock watch on a patient is interrupted. I saw a watch interrupted recently, while visiting a high class hospital. A nurse knocked off work early -- leaving her watch. I was ... aghast. One just doesn't do that. While the chances are small that things really would go wrong, they could go seriously wrong. OBSERVATION: There are different levels of round-the-clock watch. In this case, the nurse needed to be continually aware of the patient. There are higher levels of watch than that.
