Kari L. Greenaway

I have an author friend in Pennsylvania, Kari L. Greenaway., who has written several volumes of poetry. She writes some beautiful things -- including this poem of trust in God. I asked her whether I could share it.

My Presence is Near

Be still, My child.
Know that I am God.

Nothing escapes,
No foot has trod,
On My plans for you,
For they’re not flawed.

All things
Will be for My glory.

These trials you face
Are not the end of your story.
Why is it that you
Fill your heart with such worry?

Each moment is Mine.
Still your thoughts and your fears.
I have been working in you
These many past years.

I know all your heartache,
I’ve felt all your tears.
I’ve been right beside you
When your path may have veered.

But now you do question
If My presence is near.
So, get ready your mind,
My child, My dear.

I have you. I’ve got this.
Sit back, watch in wonder.
For so says your God,
(Whose protection you’re under)
