Publishing Process

I was in touch with the design department of my publishers this week. They studied a draft cover for my book, and "support the idea". Now if a publisher supports the idea (not the draft itself), that is already a win. Assuming, of course, that it's a good design! I am told that it doesn't often happen that publishers accept anything at all, when it's about the cover. So we agreed that they will redesign the cover in keeping with the basic idea. OBSERVATION: This book has moved fast so far. It is said that the publishing process typically takes 18 months. I shall predict 4 months for this book. That's an absurd figure, but let us see ...
