Buddhism's Tragedy

I was preparing a lecture today on Buddhism. Buddhism promotes compassion, loving-kindness, non-violence, mindfulness, wisdom, and so on. I checked the suicide rate. Buddhism has the highest suicide rate of any religion in the world.

POSTSCRIPT: The above is contested. What is sure, however, is that the ratio of male to female suicides, in most Buddhist-majority countries, is extreme. Even this, however, is not that simple.
