Types Of Refugee

Through ministry, I have had to do with very many refugees -- who have attended Church, or have simply sought help or counsel. In my experience, they tend to fall into three main categories:
Those whose families back home have entered dire straits economically, and wish to make money to rescue them, to pay for food, medication, schooling, and so on.
Those who flee as a result of intimidation, war, press-gangs, persecution, famine, or other dire circumstances, and
Those who come here to "make a stash", invest, and go back home to fulfill their ambitions (not refugees, many say).
OBSERVATION: I would put most in the first two categories, at least in my experience. But it may be hard to distinguish between categories. For instance, at what point does such a person correctly discern that their life or family or livelihood are endangered? Some, too, are in one category and shift to another.
