Family Synergy

When a couple come to see me with children, the synergy is sometimes a wonder to behold: You take the baby's bottle, honey, and I'll take the teddy, you hold his hand, and I'll grab her harness, don't forget the keys, and I've got your jacket ... and then it's all complemented, too, with kind words and sympathetic responses. One doesn't have the same kind of synergy with a couple sans children -- it is simply a simpler arrangement.
