Entrance Ticket

My late wife Mirjam once said in a Church group, "I have discovered that there are secret lands, to which the entrance ticket is tears." Someone in the group responded, "Tears are healing." Mirjam said, "No. These are tears of grief. Without those kinds of tears, you don't have the ticket." OBSERVATION: A rather cryptic exchange! However, it is a positive statement, in that tears of grief open up new vistas which cannot otherwise be opened up -- vistas one would apparently have known nothing about.
