Church Website

Back in 2012, members of my Church pressed me for a Church website. Some were critical: why didn't we have one yet -- a living one, regularly updated? In September 2012, I put one up, with collaboration from members. It included history, documents, photos, information -- and more. It saw astonishing traffic -- nearly 10 000 views a month in its first three months. OBSERVATION: The website is still out there, although it is dormant. I don't think, though, that it contributed much to the strength or vibrancy of the Church. Rather the strength and vibrancy of the Church contributed to the website. Generally speaking, what matters most is the Church behind the website. We decided that all elders and deacons should have the password, and posting would be by consensus.
