Recently, two parishioners in the Karoo bought a house. When they peeped in the attic, they saw fourteen buckets. They called up a friend: "There are fourteen buckets in the attic. How do you interpret that?" In the semi-desert, of course, it seldom rains -- and when it does, buckets are typically more than enough to take care of holes in the roof -- until the
real rains come.
