The Philosophical Society of England is currently having an interesting discussion surrounding aspects of its future which could potentially be very
important to its future. In my view, it is very much about this moment in history, where we have seen vast technological and social shifts. As a member of the Society, I joined the discussion yesterday. A Society luminary commented that my suggestions are "astute as ever" yet might be "unnecessarily rigid". The Society also has a new
Hub Page, which is one of the things under discussion (much of the early work there is my handiwork).
OBSERVATION: Recently the Society elected a new President, Henry Tam, a faculty member at Cambridge University. The outgoing President is Brenda Almond, Emeritus Professor at the University of Hull.
