This morning I attended the
George Community Church (pictured). The three-hour service was a theological and cultural amalgam. I would describe it as (if such were possible) a synthesis of Reformed, Pentecostal, and African. It could have been any one, given any slice of the service. An abiding theme was: "Through the precious blood of Jesus, the battle is won." This had parallel, sometimes simultaneous meanings. There was a great emphasis on the importance of faithfulness and consistency as God's people.
OBSERVATION: The photo does not convey the
size of the Church, which is much bigger.
