I have usually taken a theological or spiritual approach to the merits of a diverse Church leadership (see, for example,
A Bad Sign). This week a minister shared a completely different perspective with me -- a practical one. He had made a cultural blunder, he said, and had caused offence without even realising it. A diverse Church leadership, he said, draws one's attention to such things. Or to put it very simply, with a diverse Church leadership, one can love one's congregation better.
