210mi east of Cape Town. It is a very popular South African food: bread baked on an open fire and served hot, sometimes with a filling.
OBSERVATION: Wife E., as a "connoisseur", considers the Albertinia roosterkoek to be superior. (Being a chef of "ample" proportions would seem to go with this job).
