Age Gaps

My family on my father's side has a history of large age gaps between husband and wife. It was (to the nearest year) a modest nine years for my father, twenty-five years for my grandfather, and more than forty years for my great-grandfather (an only son was born at 69). It is fifteen years for my sister, and seventeen years for me. OBSERVATION: They say rather an old man's darling than a young man's slave, and there is a lot of truth in that. From my counselling experience, problems typically lie not in the husband's age, but in his power.
