Internet Inequality

I took this photo this morning. Everywhere (they say), Cape Town is boosting its access to the Internet. Yet townships I visit (typically outside of Cape Town) have next to zero Internet functionality. I have first hand experience of it, as Internet communications become all but impossible for me in the townships. This means that a vast number of people are disadvantaged. htxt.africa, for instance, reports that the townships are "hugely underserved". OBSERVATION: It all seems to me to favour the wealthy. And if the wealthy experienced what one experiences every day in the townships, they would surely be hopping mad. You may click on the photo to enlarge to 200k (if you're not in a township).
