Ministry has a lot to do with dreams. They criss-cross one's ministry all the time, at least in Africa. I find Freud's ideas loopy, yet true from the point of view that dreams are "the royal road to the unconscious". The African view of dreams (I speak from experience, not learning) is that dreams have meanings passed down by tradition, or they represent messages. By and large, I see dreams this way: strip away the details of a dream, and generalise it. For instance, one dreams that one is swallowed by a giant wave. Strip away the wave. What is left is that one is overwhelmed. Then consider how this might apply to one's life today. It may reveal what one doesn't pay attention to in one's waking hours.
