Recently I blogged about a letter I wrote to my old Church, to "assess the status of our parting" (see Letter To The Church). My letter contained three points. The first was this, in full: "The conditions for my resignation have not been met." The reputable Hildebrand Attorneys, in their city penthouse, wrote about this plainly to the Church: "The minister was to 'resign on condition all finalised'. This condition was not met. ... [The parting agreement] has been breached in various respects." Something of such import, stated with careful consideration, should be addressed. But someone, I am told, sought to have every last copy of my short letter destroyed. OBSERVATION: It seemed to Hildebrand and me -- which is, there were strong indications -- that we were not communicating with the Church at all, but with an unknown party passing themselves off as the Church. When challenged, this party vanished. Hildebrand wrote that this could raise "serious questions".
