A pronounced feature of this situation (see the previous two posts) is that, following my departure, my Church was constantly spinning yarns. Big yarns. Here are some examples:
• The Church asked me again and again to sign full and final settlement. That is, that nothing more was owed to me. I didn't sign. Then they declared that there was full and final settlement. Hildebrand Attorneys scrutinised the matter, and shook their heads. These matters are not small. And there is more. The Bible talks about leaning on a splintered reed. When was my Church telling me the truth? When was it spinning yarns? I said to the Church, we have a big problem. (The messages were conveyed to me, in the main, by Valentine Associates).
• DNA Consulting had examined matters, and plainly cautioned the Church about the non-existence of a contract of employment, which was unlawful. Then the Church asked me again and again to sign a document which referred to the contract of employment. I did not.
• A memorandum of agreement, duly filed, recorded that the Church would pay R200 000 tax. Then the Church wrote to me that the question of the tax arose only much later, and took it to bill me R200 000.
