A neighbour notified us recently that someone had broken into a cabin that we own. Wife E. and I went today to have a look. This was not a slick job -- as many of them have been. A large bolt had been ripped out of the door, damaging the door. On entering, a gas cylinder was missing. So far, a normal crime -- if any crime is normal. Yet as I stood in the room, surveying the scene, something -- again -- bizarre dawned on me. There was a stereo boom box in the room, with a carry handle. Normal robbers steal boom boxes. But it had been ripped apart with power -- enormous power -- and the two halves left behind. OBSERVATION: What would you make of it? Lately, such incidents have been the story of my life.
