Editing Cartoons

In our editorial work for the weekly Philosophical Investigations, my co-editor and I tend to have our own areas of interest and our own authors, and there is not much about it that is planned. Naturally, theology tends to come my way. What is planned, however, is that I edit the cartoons. I just have a new batch from a brilliant cartoonist in Seattle. Where previously he has done science fiction, he is now shifting his emphasis to "social fiction" (see the image). OBSERVATION: For the most part, the editing involves vetting themes, copy editing, and scheduling.
