Once Home

This was once my home, on Tarawa atoll. Here it is (left) pictured many years later, in 2003. The house was then (and probably still is now) the "operations control room" of the mighty Kiribati Uniting Church. My maternal grandfather planted the great tree on the right. The tree has since fallen -- I know this because I recently looked down on the scene through Google Earth. The house is shown 35 years earlier on the right.
