Joining Facebook recently, I have connected and reconnected with many people in the Pacific. This photo, of Kiribati women in the sand, could have been taken when I was in the mission there as a boy -- but for one thing. Notice the phone tablet casually held over one woman's shoulder. OBSERVATION: The
interesting thing is that phones with cameras are relatively new -- and all of
the photographs I have of the islands predate these phones. Before the phones came along, very
