Not seldom, conversations in ministry may be strange -- such that a minister can't be sure what he is dealing with, or how to respond. Here’s an example. I went to see a woman in a home. She claimed that her late husband had seated himself next to her at the breakfast table. He comforted her, and told her that she could look forward to her favourite dinner that night. I said: “Are you saying he was there in person?” She said: “No, I didn’t see him. He’s passed away of course. But he spoke to me at the table, clearly.” She said: “That’s exactly what they served for dinner. But how could he look into the future?”
