Every once in a while, I put up a photo of a local Church on my blog -- there must be photos of at least 200 local Churches on this blog, in cities, villages, and townships. This one is Rondebosch United Church in Cape Town, with its very distinctive architecture. Its website welcomes one with the words: "God bless our contradictions." Founded as a Congregational Church in 1900, it became a United Church in 1989. The minister was a fellow doctoral student of my late wife. I have met all of the ministers who ministered here from 1939 to the present -- not that I was around in 1939.
