I had a philosophy essay published this morning (click here): The Trouble With Fallacy. Fallacy is defined as "errors of reasoning". As such it is quite an important subject. My essay very simply surveys what has happened to the concept since it was first covered by Aristotle. For Aristotle, it was about the failure of wisdom, while for us it is about the failure of reason. Aristotle's concern was that we should think in a rounded way, while today's concern is that our thinking should be technically correct.
POSTSCRIPT: It is good to see that, four days later, this made it to No. 1 in Philosophical Investigations Top of the Pops. My previous essay was not as successful.
