It is a typical South African service. A singer leads uninhibitedly at the front, usually with a keyboard to support him, or her. This is mostly coupled with a very powerful amplifier system, sometimes turned up way beyond a safe threshold for the ears (a kind of hobby of mine once was measuring the decibels in South African Churches). OBSERVATION: There is a kind of generic Church music which has developed countrywide, not unlike folk music of the past, but with more fervour. One feels that if one has heard one song, one has heard them all.
