I have a friend, a minister, who ministered in the Congregational Church on Hollywood Boulevard. He took me down the Hollywood Walk of Fame one day, then said enthusiastically that he would show me his old Church -- a little further down the boulevard. We walked up some steps, and into the Church. He stopped in shock. It wasn't a Church! Somebody had sold it! He went no further. He was quiet as we walked back down the steps. I said: "You must be very shocked." He said gently: "It wasn't my Church." OBSERVATION: Yet its founders would "turn in their graves". It was one of the most popular Churches of Hollywood. Imagine, too, if there still were a Congregational Church on Hollywood Boulevard. The story is "out there" on the Internet.
