I was encouraged to receive news this week that a missions programme under my city ministry is still bearing fruit. In the mid 1990's, our Church provided many islands in the Pacific with an English Bible dictionary by the renowned Don Fleming. Many ministers there, at that time, had no "tools". Then we sent a short-term missions team, packed with more materials (and fought it out with Air Nauru, who said we were overloaded). Just this week I heard that Don Fleming had given permission for his books to be translated into the Kiribati language, and a Translation Committee on Tarawa atoll had begun the task. In 2017, therefore -- some twenty years later -- our missions programme still "echoes" in the Pacific. OBSERVATION: And this is just one example how.
