This is Cape Town's Elsieskraal River, here flowing far more strongly than usual. Earlier in the week, it overflowed its channel, with the water reaching the height of the trees at the side.
OBSERVATION: In Europe, rivers are an attraction, and are turned into centre-pieces, as it were. In South Africa, the opposite may be true. Many who live along the banks of this river have walled it off, so to speak, and out of sight. One may click on the photo to enlarge.
