A Church auditor is a vital person in the system, even if he or she is virtually unknown to the Church. The auditor is the ultimate guarantee that a Church's finances are in order. There are many good auditors. At the same time, various things can go wrong: they may be incompetent, or crooks, or not even auditors. This post is about a fourth kind: the buddy auditor. An auditor is an old friend, in this way or that. In such a situation, the trust level may be so high that the auditor is happy (enough) even if he or she does not see original documents. In other words, what the auditor sees is processed. The dangers of that are obvious.
