Yesterday News24 published an article on
optimism, which I edited. Also yesterday, a
pessimistic (some would say realistic) poem was published by Pi, which I procured. Written by acclaimed Cape Town artist
Jeremy Dyer, it is a prophecy of doom, which very few I think will be ready to accept. It is not the mood today, and perhaps never has been. There already is a comment by a well known philosopher: "I don't really think (agree?) that we should abandon hope."
OBSERVATION: The poem is here:
Our Destined Date. The editors did not feel fully competent to decide the merit of the poem, so showed it to an Oxford published poet. He gave it the OK.
