In the Third World, there is a very great need for ministry "tools" -- which is the most basic tools, such as study Bibles, commentaries, and Bible dictionaries. Recently a country pastor asked me for a study Bible -- he said that he had no "tools" at all. It took me a while before I found one -- then I couldn't find the country pastor. I gave it to a district deaconess instead. She was overjoyed by this gift -- she, too, had nothing of that kind to help her. OBSERVATION: If your Church is looking for a mission, you might find a way to route simple "tools" to those without them. One foundation which does this admirably is Bridgeway Publications.
