Dim And Dimmer

I was in touch with a publisher's secretary this morning, about my Dual Channel Magnetometer. I had introduced my design thus:

Happily, my ditty arrived, but my files did not. I just re-sent them. OBSERVATION: The publisher is Nicholas Vinen, who has taken over from the legendary Leo Simpson. The photo is of me and Leo, in Sydney. I had just demonstrated two wind-up torch / flashlight designs. He was unimpressed, calling them "dim and dimmer". He then turned the idea into Silicon Chip's super wind-up LED torches. I still use my own torch regularly -- the one in my hand here.
