A young boy came to Church one Sunday. I asked him: "What language do you speak?" He said: "English." But he had a strong accent. I said: "French?" He said: "A little." I said, "What’s your mother tongue?" He said, with emphasis, “Just a Black language!” I asked him which one. He didn’t want to tell me. I said: "Where do you come from?" He said: "Congo." I said: "Lingala." He said excitedly: "Yes! I speak Lingala! Do you speak Lingala?" I said: "No. There are thousands of languages in the world. I only speak a few." OBSERVATION: About 70 million people speak Lingala.
