I read in a dictionary of philosophy this week that most nouns refer to things we can see and touch. This didn't sit well with me, so I called up the 100 most common nouns in English. Take the first on the list: "time". One can't see or touch time. The second on the list: "year". One can't see or touch a year. The third: "people". Here's something one can see and touch -- when they happen to be around. The fourth: "way". Yes and no ... So, depending how we categorise these nouns, half or more are not "real": force, ideas, issues, and so on. OBSERVATION: We speak about "unreal" things far more often than (some) philosophers admit.
