I've never been much good at photo essays. However I wrote one this
month, just 100 words, which mysteriously took off. It is the most
popular thing published by the philosophy weekly Pi since September last
year: The Signpost. OBSERVATION: The heart of it is that we forget important reasons why we did things in the first place. The same is true of the Church. One forgets important reasons why we have certain things in our confession, polity, and constitution. Often enough, people died before those things were put there.
