Church Party

You read it first on this blog. On 21 January, I blogged about a new political party, launched by African Initiated Churches: "One-third of voters may fall under The South African Council of Messianic Churches. That could easily make them a new opposition." This week, in the first by-election they contested, they won 30% of the vote. Today, a political analyst noted that they had been "a blind spot" to political analysts, including himself. OBSERVATION: A Council of Churches aspiring to political power? There has been some debate about that. One of my "underground" contacts believes they may form the next government.
