I took the photo yesterday of a reception after a memorial service -- there was a very generous tea. At my own memorial services, the mourners have often asked me whether they should greet the congregation after the service as they leave, or at the reception. It is up to them, as to what is comfortable to them. Personally I prefer the old-fashioned way of greeting the congregation after the service as they leave. For one thing, the mourners are not then tied up in a huddle as often happens at a reception.
